Credit Usage Policy

(For Reference Only – Not a Legally Binding Agreement)

Last updated: April 24, 2026

Thank you for choosing Seekin.

This page explains how Credits are currently used across Seekin's features.

This policy is provided for reference only and does not constitute a legally binding agreement. It does not form part of the Terms of Service, is not incorporated by reference, and does not create any contractual obligation, warranty, or enforceable commitment. If anything here conflicts with the English Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.

Actual credit deduction shown in the Seekin system shall prevail. Estimates, previews, or descriptions in the workspace or checkout may be updated without this page changing immediately.

1. What is Credit?

In Seekin, Credit is a usage-based unit used to measure the computational cost of using our services, including:

  • Audio and video transcription (including uploads and supported online sources)
  • AI summary and structured notes
  • Text-to-speech (TTS)
  • Script generation and export (for example YouTube or short-form scripts)
  • Blog posts, social threads, and similar AI-assisted content generation
  • Chat with video / Q&A and other conversational AI over your media, where enabled
  • Video analysis, chapters, and other premium or experimental AI workflows offered from time to time in the workspace

Credits are not currency, not stored value, and not transferable. They are used solely to track and allocate system resources.

2. Why credit-based usage?

Seekin uses a credit-based system to:

  • Balance computational resources across different AI features
  • Support multiple processing-intensive services fairly
  • Allow flexible usage based on actual consumption
  • Continuously improve infrastructure and AI models

Different features consume different amounts of credits based on their technical complexity.

3. How is credit usage calculated?

Summary credits are calculated based on the length of the text you provide to the AI model. If no text is provided, Seekin will first transcribe the audio or video to generate text, consuming transcription credits, and then generate the summary, which will consume credits based on the transcribed text length.

The table below lists representative Standard Credit usage by feature. Free-tier allotments (Section 4) may use different counters; subscription inclusions may waive or discount certain rows—always follow the deduction preview in the Seekin workspace.
